Would like to do this mod. I weigh in at 180 lbs, wife rides her own bike...
Would I have any clearance issues with these 11" shocks? Do i need to replace the kick stand? Which model of progressives would you buy? Are the burlys to low? Any advice would be appreciated. Only looking to do the rear...

Are the standard shocks that bad you need to replace them, or is this more for a looks thing? Just curious cause I pick up my bike later this month and was wondering what should I expect as far as suspension. I was kind of under the impression that most of the folks that went with aftermarket shocks were maybe a bit heftier and needed more support, but you and I are around the same weight, so that is getting me really curious.

The stock shocks aren't terrible. I clicked mine up to the next firmer setting and the ride seems even more controlled/smooth. (I weigh about 175)
