V-rod front wheel
I should have been more specific. Before the V-rod switched to brembos they used the same 4 piston calipers that dynas have. The calipers are interchangable. What i meant was If you were to bolt on a V-rod rim to your dyna, the hub offset is likely to be different, causing the rotor and the caliper to not line up.

Mudpuddle, that brembo that shepard has will bolt right onto your bike.
You should have no issues.
I know that the brembos "will bolt right onto your bike".
I am asking about the diameter of the rotor/disc.
Which would relate to the "bite" of the pads onto the rotor/disc.
I think the diameter is very close, but I am researching this before I proceed .

The superglide (cast wheel)rotor is the exact same as brembo equiped v-rod.
The wire wheel rotor is not the same, it is about 3/8 smaller diameter.
I would not recommend using it on the wire wheel rotor.

With the "bite"?? Overbite of the pads on the edge of the rotor??
Do your pads and disc meet up real close at the outside edge??
Or is it some other issue??

The wire wheel (at least on my 35th Anni) uses a floating rotor.
Another factor in the mix to see if your caliper would work with the V-Rod's wheel and static rotor.
"see if your caliper would work with the V-Rod's wheel and static rotor".

So shepard, you feel that the 3/16" difference in the radius will be an issue??

The pad does overlap the edge of the disc a little bit. maybe .200 -You wouldn't be losing much pad area. All I know is my disc is the exact part number of the v-rod street rod and it works. I looked it up and we all share the same HD caliper so I am thinking you would be OK, just can't guarantee it........

Yeah it's actually less than .200, .1875. I don't think this is an issue,
On paper, looks good to me. Guess I'll go head and pull the trigger and see for my own self.
Good point there about the laced wheel and the cast wheel sharing the squeezers.
I hadn't even thought about looking at that, and it is probably the most obvious
indicator of a positive outcome.
