6...

I am 57 and ride a FXDLI.

You're too old when you're 6' feet under!

Follow your heart, it will rarely lead you astray.

I am not a "bagger" guy, but, that doesn't mean I will not be tomorrow.

My dad is 55 and likes to ride my Street Bob. He likes the Dynas, as do I, because they have a more old school feel than a fully decked out air ride bagger.

The Switchback is a good mix between the two if you want something lighter and more nimble for around town that can also do serious miles in bagger mode.

I rode a '01 Road King for ten years following twenty five years of Shovels of different FX and custom flavors. I loved it, especially on long trips, and thought it would be a twenty year bike. The problem was that for every mile of highway touring I did I spent five in the hills of my local riding area and commuting 50 miles a day to work. I often thought that a Dyna would have been a better choice for an everyday ride.

In the summer of '10 I crashed the Road King. Other than a couple of small road rash patches I came out OK and rode the bike 15 miles back home. Unfortunately, although I thought the damage relatively minor, the insurance company called it totaled and paid me the going rate in my area for the bike.

Enter the current ride, an '07 FXD. I love it and it may be a twenty year bike. ;-)

I'm a lot older than 53 too.

For a long time I owned both, but when the wife said she did not want to tour anymore, I got rid of the Ultra, now I just have the dyna.....granted its not a touring bike with all the luxury of radio, storage etc but it serves me well......and i am a lot older than 53.

I'm 49,and for the last five years rode a '06 Road King Classic.Last month I sold it to my brother in law and bought a '12 Street Bob.I really loved the RKC,but was getting a little board with it.Most of my riding is local, not to much touring and always ride solo.I wanted to try something a little lighter and sportier.I think the Dyna SB is just what I want and need. And if things don't work out w/it,no big deal, sell it and find what I want......But I don't think that's going to happen for a long time!

I am 61 and I ride a Dyna FXDC (107") My bagger is a '77 FLH, my sport bike is a '90 FXRS-SP and my fun bike is a 54 rigid bobber with early Shovelhead engine, kick start. To old? Nah!
