I'm heading to sears to pick up a jack, I'm asking which jack to get for my 05 fxdc?

I bought the one at Pep Boys for $60.00 and it works fine. Remember that you need the lift adapters through HD to make the bike steady on the rack (or make your own). The transmission hangs lower than the frame so you need the blocks.

From Sears... get the yellow aluminum one.

Roger that. The yellow aluminum model 950191. The 1500lb model. Weighs only 44lbs and will get under my low rider easily. However, as stated in the earlier post, you will need to get the jack adapters from H-D to use the jack on the Dyna model. Hope this helps.

Jack is 170.00....

There are instructions in the box. The blocks are about $25.00 if my memory still serves me. You will place 2 blocks on the frame on the primary side and a smaller block between the jack and the frame on the other side then strap it real tight and you are good to go.

So....I'm guessing the old trick of picking it up on the kickstand while shoving a milk crate under it is no longer recommended?
