I bought the red one for my wide glide. I cut off the black tube that is welded to the inside of the pads , and moved the pads to the outsides of the jack. I used i believe 5.5 inch long x 1/2 inch grade 8 bolts. The original bolts were metric so I did have to enlarge them with a drill a bit. It clears the pan like this and I have no problem with stabilty once its in the air. I also played with the pin at the top of the bottle jack and was able to get the jack lower when down. Jack slides almost all the way in , then I lift the bike upright off the stand and slide it the rest of the way , about 2 inches.

Bought mine last Friday night. Didn't come with
adaptors. You'll need to get the Dyna adaptors.

I couldn't get the jack under mine so I just road the bike up onto 2X4 blocks 1 under the front wheel and 1 under the back that gave me a inch and a 1/2 which worked, I jacked it up and strapped it down and perfect!! Got the front end off now and installing my wide glide conversion kit tomorrow and the HD shop should be done installing my new chrome sliders onto my tubes so I should have the front end done tomorrow evening all but my new headlight!!

Don't the pads that fit in the holes work?? I don't need them either way.

If you look at the jack, the jack can go down more but the height of the bottle will not let it. I pulled the pin and clip and slid a 5/16 long bolt thru in place of the pin and clip.It gave a little more clearance. Basically when the jack is let all the way down , the bottle still has it elevated a slight bit.

Where do you position the adapters?
One man method for Jacking up a Dyna. Mine is a Low Rider.

The sears yellow jack is a lower profile than the red one. I have a bad back so I was cautious the first time I did this. I bought the Harley Dyna blocks for one reason only. They slip onto the frame and stay there.

This works for me. BE CAREFUL.

I put the Dyna blocks on the frame in the position shown on the sheet.

I get the jack ready to roll under the frame, no extention platforms on the jack.

The block on the left rear I pull on the bottom of it till the bottom is pointed at a 45 degree angle away from the Dyna.

I then sit and pull up the kick stand. Then I lean over and push down the block. Very Carefully.

Now I grab the jack handle and roll the jack under.

I give it a couple of pumps till it makes contact.

Once it makes contact I lean over to see if the jack is positioned on the blocks correctly. If it is.

Then a few pumps and me and the Dyna start up.

If not reposition the jack and try again.
