I must be getting old because I never liked any baggers but the other day I was in the dealership with my 6 year old grand daughter getting some tubes.
She said she liked the motorcycles in there with the back seats and she wanted to ride with me. It made me start looking at Road Kings. That's about as far as I'll go towards the bagger side.
Oh yea later I heard her say "My grandpa has the best motorcycle in the world." Smart kid
Sometimes you can't have just one. I love the combo of having a dyna and a RK. Nothing beats the dyna in town and day trips, but if you want to put on the miles grab the RK. Its only money, a lot of money...
Been there. Now I am trying to figure out how to have both in the stable. After six years on this Dyna, she is family so a trade is not gonna happen.
There ya go. Having both is only way, otherwise you will miss what each has to uniquely offer and never be happy. I finally came to realize that I want to cruise first, tour second, but when I wanna tour, I wanna tour. LOL
HD loves folks like that...now how to pay for it all...
My dealer keeps trying to talk me into a test ride on a Street Glide. I'm too invested in my Dyna to be thinking of trading and I can't afford to have them both. 24 more payments on the Dyna....
I had a Street Glide and never liked it. It was the old style frame, though. Traded for a Road Glide. Mucho better, but I got tired of the weight when moving it around parking lots and the garage. Got a crick in the neck after an hour or so; way too soon...
I do love my FXDC. Installed a QD windshield and throw over bags and can go anywhere I went on the touring bikes, while wearing a big grin, that I never had on the others... tomp
