Default Well, guess I'll be over here now.

Just made a tentative deal on a 2011 Wide Glide, (2500 miles) trading my wife's 883 sportster and cash (of course). The good news is, she will inherit my sporty (which I've spent a ton of money on in upgrades) so it will still be there if I want to ride it. The WG has SE 255 cams, Vance and Hines pipes, SE AC, and factory alarm installed by the dealer and is still under warranty till next Oct. I'll get some pics up after I pick it up on Monday (hopefully)

Now for a question: I think I've read here where some have changed the front sprocket to a 30 (assuming the stock one is a 32) I changed mine on a Fatboy at one time, but it was only one tooth so it fit with the stock belt and it made a hell of a difference. Will going from a 32 to a 30 work without changing the belt, and what brand do you guys recommend? I used an Andrews on my last bike.

Do I have to change my name now?

Welcome. I understand that when changing to a 30t on a dyna, you don't need to change out the belt. I think you do on other models, though.

I'll be changing mine to a 30t in a month or two, I'll find out then.

Congrats. I changed to a 30T on my 07 and the belt was fine. I don't know if the size of the rear pulley would make a difference but mine is a 66. Used an Andrews sprocket.

Thanks nevil! I'm guessing from the specs that the 011 is a 66 rear too. Dare I ask how much difference it made in acceleration?

Thanks, I know I'll love the Dyna as I miss having a big twin. I do love my Sporty though, quick and nimble. Just not very good on the road for more than a couple hundred miles. Never have had a rubber mount as my former Fat boy and the Sporty are solid mount. This will be my first venture into rubber mounts and fuel injection.

All I can say is that it made a noticeable difference. I'm real happy I did it. Most of my riding is on two lane roads and the times I'm on the highway I'm not cruising real fast anyway.
