Oh, I just meant that if someone was to figure it out, he would probably be one who could. You as well...actually, lots of guys on here have the ability.
Personally, I don't even want one. I hang my boots about 4" off the front of the boards now and a heel-toe would kill even more space. What I'd like to see are extensions for the boards.
Bob, could you do some measurements at the shifter side to find out if the Softail splined shifter rod would fit?
What extensions do you want to have: to put the boards further up front or to get a wider set-off?

I think something like the attachment would work (if adjustable) but also to be able to extend them out about an inch.
Here's my problem:
my legs are only about a 32" inseam and I have size 12 boots, but to be comfortable, I have to shove my boots so far forward, they actually hang about 4" over the front of the boards. Consequently, my boots are shoved right under the brake pedal. If I get into a split second reaction type of scenario, I'm not safe as I may hang my foot up under the brake pad. However, if i go too far out with board extensions, then my feet want to fly off the boards over about, 80mph...or at least feel like they want to. So see? It's a catch22 for me right now. Here's the attachment and this is from a '02 fatboy.
If you put the boards further forward, I'd guess you would need an extended brake lever (like used on Touring models) as well.
Like you, with 32" inseam I have the same "feet issue" with the FXDP boards on my 2003 FXD. I would like them to be further forward about 3 - 3,5 inches. (see images in this thread). Current set-up doesn't allow me to make adapter plates (brake rod wouldn't fit in between frame tube and front header pipe).
This is why I like the Softail conversion solution used by Todd, Rick and AFMM3: the adapter plates enable adjustment of the boards to the desired riding position!

Rene, I'm not so worried about extending the brake pad forward, i pretty much like it where it is most of the time. It's just the board location that I don't care for because it limits me.
Truly, I think my solution is in a add-on like the attachment i posted and then extend the boards out from the bike a little.
Were those dimensions i sent what you were looking for?

Okay, I've been out of the loop lately. I sold the Heritage in my SigPic about 9 months ago so I haven't visited the Forum lately. I just came into a little money and I'm trying to figure out what to get and, literally, just discovered the Switchback and I am really stoked. By the way, I had a Streetbob before the Heritage and I am a big Dyna fan.
The thing that I loved about the Heritage was the heel-toe shifter as I'm 5'4" on a good day and that particular accessory really made riding it easy.
After getting really stoked about the Switchback I just discovered they have floorboards (which I also loved about the Heritage) but no heel-toe shifter.
Anyone done any research as to whether you can get a heel toe shifter for it?
Also, what is the availability on the Switchback.
I've always sworn I'd NEVER buy new but that might change.
Well sir, I was witness to a real pretty red one this very day on the San Jacinto Harley Davidson in Pasadena Texas. Better hurry.

Have you checked out Cycle Smith banana boards ... I have occasionally thought of trying them out ... they are a little spendy ....
I've always liked the look and I think they would allow a lot of room for movement of the feet ... might be a solution for Rene, too ...
Aesthetically, no. I think they would have to grow on me.
But for functionality, those are awesome. If I couldn't find multiple comfort spots on those, I'd need to change my feet to hoofs and just shut the f**k up! LOL
I've never seen any that big before.
