There saying that there is a lot of weight on the bolt pattern. Thinking of upping the grade of bolt on mine to see if it makes any difference. I've kinda told them do what they want, especially if it will help someone else.

Yeah your not riding enough. California is year round turn off the computer and get out there!!!!!
What bolt are you looking for that might be broken???

My brand new Wide Glide is now vibrating pretty much just like what you guys are posting about... It didn't vibrate at all until I had the Harley shop install a set of Rush slip ons, a stage 1 air cleaner and a "tune" they said they installed to compensate for the new mods.
Now it vibrates my feet off the pegs at pretty much all rpms that I can tell.

I am questioning if when they installed the new "tune" if they downloaded the one for the 2012 with the new 103 or if they grabbed a 2011 tune for the 95.

Not kidding,
All i know is what he posted about my stuff. If I can't find resources for onesy twosy mods that aren't available, or something I'll get charged an arm and leg for, I'll go looking in places like this forum and that's exactly what I did. I think all of us support the vendors here, he wasn't trying to upstage them he just had great ideas for those of us who didn't want to wait for the aftermarket guys to get rolling and then maybe not even get exactly what we wanted. He brought, I think, real value to the forum because of his willingness to help and share and even build it if we couldn't find what we wanted. That's what I thought the whole point of this forum was, straight up. He wouldn't be catagorized a vendor in my book, i guess they have different criteria. If I see that they are holding their ground with him for much longer, I'll be looking for a place where I CAN get what I want per the above too.

Mrnone was told he couldn't talk any mods without being a sponsor. so I think he was insulted/disgusted and baled. I'm not sure of what all transpired. That's really unfortunate for the forum, he was posting VERY good info for everyone's use. All he was posting (as far as I know) was the private work he was doing for me. I see lots and lots of guys doing that and I thought that was what this forum was for. I personally, don't get it. I have his mail if you need it, pm me.
thats bullshit he wasnt selling nothin, in jest he would say hed sell..

Bought mine in late August, have over 3k on it now. Vibration is relative of course and I would be dissapointed if I bought a HD and it didn't have some vibs. Mine vibrates more at idle than my 09Nightster did, but after that it is smoother up to 85 (haven't gone faster). You do not need to put it in 6th till at least 60 and only after broken in in my experience. I can now cruise 60-85 in 6th and to me it is smooth, useable mirrors, enough vibes in the floorboards to be soothing to tired feet, but never walks them off. Stock drive train, heated, classic rubber HD grips do reduce vibs compared to stocks grips but vibs were not a problem before. I'll bet with some bikes it will be motor mounts, others exhaust, and some tire pressure. lol But my bet would be on mounts, When I hung out on the Sportster forum, many who were having excessive vibes reported dramatic improvement after the mounts were torqued to factory specs.

Default Other Thread indicating switchback has exhaust causing the vibration

HI Guys,

Take a look at the link below, there are some threads, which indicate that the exhaust might be the issue, being "too heavy" any thoughts?

I am amazed some of you guys think that the MOCO would test bikes thoroughly before sending them out to market. You should know by now that they have all their time taken up these days by focus groups for their new clothes line. Bikes are secondary for the MOCO.
