I didn't like the buckhorns, either. They put my wrists at a funny angle. I broke both of them about 25 years ago, so that ain't good.

These are for a Sportster. I put them on about two weeks ago. The stock wires and cables work with them, the stock speedo works with them, and the angle is perfect.

For me, anyway:

I felt the stock buckhorn handlebars put my wrists at an uncomfortable angle. I replaced them with flstc bars which are about the same height, but much more comfortable.
Also have a corbin touring seat. Also very comfortable.

I went with mini-apes. Part # 56563-95. They move the grips a little closer to me and a little higher. They are very comfortable on long rides. I had to replace the clutch cable and brake line with the ones that come stock on the wide glide if I remember correctly. Throttle and idle cables did not need to be replaced, just rerouted so they do not pass through the forks.
Did you have install wire extensions?

No. I relocated the turn signals to the forks and had to cut and re-solder those wires. I found enough slack in the back-bone for the switches so I did not have to lengthen them.

Anyone change bars on a Low Rider, and if so, how did you deal with the indicator light panel?

Thanks,
Sammi
