After i picked a couple ideas from some Dyna owners, in here, i decided for the next step:
Got a pair of Tamarack lowering blocks (for 1" lowering) and threw away the relocated turnlights and lowdown plate kit.
Repainted rear fender and went with a sidemount plate with LED light which is, by the way, unexpectedly bright!!!
I just had to fix a custom nut since i didn't want to change the rear wheel axis (which is too short to be used with stock nut and the particular sidemount plate).
The thing is that when installing the Tamaracks, i had to put an extra spacer to the bottom of both shocks,as seen in one picture.
Man, looking at that picture of your rear axle, I am not a fan of your side plate. I see it has a set screw, but you have no threads showing in your axle....looks nice tho...just wouldn't ride it if it that way if it were mine.
By "set screw" you mean the small safety screw?
That's instead of the stock safety pin! The nut is not just the "head" you see with the safety screw... It goes all the way through the "ring" of the sidemount plate. So actually this nut it's twice as wide than stock one.
To be on the safe side, I would take the plate mount to a machine shop and get some of the inside axle section (swing arm) side milled down so you can have more axle and nut mating for a more secure mounting. I would hate to be the guy riding or driving behind you I'd that nut comes off.
