Well I pulled the trigger and got the wide tire kit for my girlfriend's Super Glide. After burning the tire off on New Year's eve and having 6500 miles on it I figured it was time. I didn't think I would be able to see a difference but I can. Fill's the rear fender up.
Looks good! From your previous posts on this bike, I see you still riding this from time to time?
Hell ya I'm riding it (when she lets me LOL). This bike won't go anywhere. We both love the bike and have fun with it. I have a friend with a 107 120hp/120tq. I think that would be a nice upgrade to the Super Glide.
The rear looks great, very clean. Like the light set up too.
I am wanting to do a 107" upgrade from FM but since I won't go to a 2-1 exhaust I expect my numbers to be lower
It looks great, filling the fender properly. Can't wait to finish my rear tire and getting a 180mm too. With the risk to hacking in the post, I understand the "wide tire kit" is a kit that prevent the cables/fasteners under the fender that feed the blinkers to come into contact with the wider tire. Would this kit be still needed if I've already had installed the HD blinker relocation kit in order to mount saddlebags ?
I have the 180 tire and love the look. Just wish they would last a little longer. The last one made it to 7000. May have been able to got 500 more out of it but changed it over the winter so I could just ride come spring.
