I have it and think its a worthwhile investment. My issues were the big high speed sweepers as well. Unfortunately, the true track was the last and final thing I installed INSTEAD of the first! I did swing arm bushing/bearing, neck bearings, tires, tire pressure, fall away, shocks, motormounts...... everything I could think of. The True Track was the final part that shored the bike up.
I agree with bikerlaw,
Great investment for handling sweepers, rain groove improvement and making the bike feel lighter on twisty roads.
Installation was pretty straight forward with my Harbor Freight motorcycle high lift. It would be a tough install if you can't get your bike high enough. With the high lift I could sit on a bucket and see the critical tranny/frame junction.
True Track is a forum sponsor. I just bought one from them a few days ago and it should be delivered today. I look forward to installing it getting rid of the high speed cornering wiggles.
Thanks for the replys. Looks like I'm getting the true-track next. Don't know why I feel it more after changing the bars, but the whole bike feels different with them. Maybe I'm just paying more attention.
The only time I ever noticed any rear wheel steer or wobble was when I would take long sweepers at high speed pushing the limit. I never really noticed much at the slower speeds with my bike. After checking alignment the only other thing to do was to try the true track which solved the wobble issues on my bike. I do have the mini apes but don't see where the buck horn or mini apes would make any difference in the tracking of your bike.
those wobbles on a sweeper at speed can make a person really pucker their *** lol !!
I run a true track as well now
