Default May I post up some new mods.....

I have been having some issues with my current apes. They were the right height and all but just looked way to narrow and didn't feel quite right. The top picture is the old 15 inch bars on 2 inch risers. I swapped to 13 inch Paughco Wide Apes and 4 inch risers. The Paughco's are a lot wider but with the taller risers they still keep me exactly where I want to sit. So far it seems to be a worthwhile change.

Because I was tearing into her for the umpteenth time, I also added fully chromed handle bar controls, polished front and rear rotors, chrome turn signal visors, chrome axle adjusters, chrome caliper and caliper mount covers, and a sweet inner primary cover. Phew.... that was a pile of Christmas presents all put on at one time.

Anyways, I am officially out of stuff to chrome on the bike and its time to move on the the next project, so I wanted to post some pics and get some opinions of the bars. I think they are an improvement over the old 15's but I like to hear ideas. I was wondering if you guys agreed with me, or should I keep the taller narrower bars that my WIFE thought looked better on the Springer forks, because of the small Low Rider gas tank. Ideas and opinions always welcome.

Heres the old bars:

Heres the new bars and all the chrome crapolla:

Your bike is sweet! What are the pipe you got there? Stock with....? Or something else? I like the old drag pipe, baloney cut, skinny pipe look. Thanks for any info.

Thanks guys! Yeah, the fender is an on again/off again part depending on whether I think in might rain. OFF is clearly my preference, but as with saddlebags and the back seat... sometimes its just out of my hands.

Gartec81, I "know" about the Sunset Grill but have never been there. I'm down in Richmond but there was talk about heading out there when a group of us do the run to the wall again this year. So I hope its as nice as I hear it to be.

Kilrain, my pipes are just 2 inch ebay drag pipes with torque cones. I am pretty happy with them so far.

older bars looked better to me , but id go for comfort first. the rest of the bike is done so well I don't think how wide your bars are is gonna matter much. Ride what you are the most comfortable with. I leave the back breaking bad *** stuff to the younger guys.
