Default Advice on springer conversion

I have an 08 fxd lowered 3in in rear nothing on front and was thinking about a 5 or 6 degree raked Springer front end with a 21in laced wheel my questions are how would the ride and handling be and who would be a good vendor be oh and the reason for the rake is it has a 28 degree rake stock and I hate how the front wheel looks tucked into the frame

Check out this link, you can punch in the numbers and it will tell you if you're in the sweet spot for rake and trail.

If you want a Springer, thats simple. Call Paughco and order one, or get out your grinder and tools and start fitting a DNA. Dyna's have unique necks that are different from Softails and most Springers are not a bolt on proposition. If you are wanting custom Springers with built in rake, you gonna pay out the a$$. Sugar Bear, Jerry's Springers and American Suspension Springers will fill the bill. I went with a 3 over Paughco. Bolt on and go. Ride and handling will of course suffer compared to a hydraulic set of forks with a 19 inch tire, but I did not buy a Harley to melt tires on the Dragon's Tail and the bike still handles safely, rides nice and looks great.
