Default Raking out my HD

I have a 2007 FXSTSSE Springer and would like to rake it out a bit more than stock. Can anyone point me in the direction to do this?

unless you know somebody that can rake the neck of the springer (I don't), you will have to rake the frame, then you will have an issue with the front end being too short, and bike won't sit level or slightly raised in front. this will snowball into a project that you may not want to get into, frame will be stripped down bare then will need to be painted/moulded i n at least neck area, big slippery slope there fella

Wow! You want to chop up the best looking Screaming Eagle motorcycle the MOCO has ever made? That takes *****. I will agree with you the the factory springers certainly do look like they rear ended a bus, but thats the way they wanted them I guess. I know people were adding raked cups for a few extra degrees on tube front ends, but I don't know if raked cups will work with a Springer. I believe with tube forks they cause the trees to be spread apart just a tiny bit. You could always buy an aftermarket springer. Almost none of them have that absurd deraked set up that the MOCO uses. Sugar Bear, Jerri's Springer and Paughco all make Springers that would fit the bill and bump your front wheel out, and it would be a simple bolt on set of forks. Since you have an S/E front end you could probably sell it on ebay for as much or more than an aftermarket Springer retails for. So unless you wanted to keep the stocker, you'd be doing the swap for very little cash. I realize that saving money is a foreign concept to S/E riders, but I just thought I would mention it.

Hey I have one and I'm a tightwad penny pinching miser who washes my paper cups and plastic forks....but I agree, an aftermarket entirely new springer front with more rake in the steering head part (and longer forks) would be the simplest (and cheapest) idea....I have to wonder how adverse an effect it would have on handling though.

I mentioned the frok rake issue because I was thinking he wanted to keep his ft end, which won't really work, if you are game for the new ft end there are a # of ft ends that can be had with more rake built into them. Might want to consider a girder ft end and they are more stable than the springer, but dont have quite as much suspension travel. lots can be done, how deep is that wallet!?

as far as handling, it is what it is, stick the ft end out and handling goes down, slower around turns, and curves but better on straight aways, as long as its not too far out. it becomes a trade off, chopper looks/ cement block handling.
