not familar with the pro pipe sound, but i just put a pair of the stagered big shots on my FXDF yesterday ( got them used from a forum member ) and they sound great.. i also installed a set of the XIED's to richen the fuel mixture. i could swear there is definatly a performance difference... not sure how much is exhaust, and how much is the XIED's... tomorrow i'm installing a SE Ventilator AC, i'm told that will make it sound even more different.
As for the sound between the two...Both sound good but the Big Shots are louder and more sharp. The Propipe is deeper & more mellow but still barks pretty hard.
I've had/have both and I (as well as my neighbors) prefer the Propipe. + it performs better.
fella did you really notice a performance difference? I love the big shots, but on the newer model dyna's the pipe doesn't go back as far and I'm afraid I'll blast out my wifes ear drums.
Atretes. I've heard the quiet baffles take a hit on the performance?

I can't really compare the two apples for apples on performance. My bikes were built different w/each of these pipes. Never just swapped a pipe.
I will say that my 96" FXDC with a Big Sucker, Propipe, stock cams & SEST would outrun my 103" FatBoy Lo with Big Sucker, PC, SE255's & BigShots. The FatBoy made 86hp/96tq on dyno but I have yet to dyno the Dyna. Not an apples to apples comparison like I said.
