2010 FXDWG - Exhaust Question - Active exhaust module
I am looking to make some stage 1 changes to my bike, I have a 2010 wide glide. I am a novice mechanic, but figure exhaust should be basic enough I can handle it. I was looking at the service manual and notice my bike has a "Active Exhaust Module".
Can anyone better explain how necessary this is/what its for? Is it easy to install?
I notice most of the new systems I looked at had the holes for the O2 Sensors, but none mentioned the active exhaust module. I looked at all the usual suspects for new exhaust systems, but am leaning toward something a little more unique.
Any help here is appreciated.
