I've got Street Bob cans with baffles removed. It's loud as hell, sounds like drag pipes, but I wouldn't say it sounds "good". You can add the cycle shack baffles, there's a thread on here about the ultimate street bob exhaust mod or something like that (google it or hear it on youtube). Eventually I'll probably order some but I may be getting a set of Rush's when my friend gets his full system. It looks good and street bob mufflers are very inexpensive used. I got mine for free.
its my understanding that if you just swap out the mufflers, you do not need to reprogram the ecm.
with that being said, i did the air intake, slipons, and tune at he same time.
i went with the rush 2.25 baffles, and i think they are loud, but not obnoxious (and i am happy with them).
i checked out the sound bytes on the rush homepage prior to the change, and they were useless to me. i thought they all sounded the same. its a crap shoot. some think they are are too loud, some think they are not loud enough.
unless you get lucky enough to hear them live before hand for yourself there is no real way to know if they are too loud for you.

I'm running the SEII slip-ons (for several years} and also now with a SE air cleaner with no tune and no other changes to the motor or ecu. I've done this particular combination for over 6k miles of the 18k I have on my '10 FXDC with no performance or noise issues at all. I have also seen others post of doing this same thing from time to time here on the HD Forums, also with no problems reported. Then... Others will tell you all kinds of horror stories they heard from a friend of their little brothers Dad who has a friend who works for Harley. You decide.
i have the cycle shacks now, and never found them to be tinny. I like the sound and look alot, but am switching to a 2 into 1 for the performance gains.
