I have a 2012 FLHTK and have installed 1.75 rush mufflers.. The dealer tells me I should install a super tuner, have it dyno and a stage one air cleaner.. Does anyone know if I am being fed a line or does it need a dyno with the super tuner and air cleaner ?
One would think that the mufflers will alter how the engine handles so he may be sort of right...I mean you probabley are only at Stage 1/3 with just the mufflers.
Whats your goal? More getup and go or just a bit more noise?
That's true, the 96 has 3.75 bore x 4.38 stroke, the 103 has 3.875 bore by 4.38 stroke and the 110 has 4.00 bore x 4.38 stroke. I was told that in order to make my 103 inot a 110, they would have to split the lower cases and bore them out for the larger piston. I don't understand why they don't do that from the factory.

Or you could simply replace your air filter with a K&N,install Nightrider xied's and enjoy a good running bike. Your stock ecm will adapt to these changes and you will notice improved power.

xied's are a poor excuse for a fueling device! They change voltage INPUT to the ECM and yes! they scew fueling, BUT ONLY during Closed Loop control.
As to the OP question, opening the exhaust only! changes VE's ( predicted airflow) only slightly. So if that is your only change, you really don't need to add fuel. However, once you open the aircleaner and increase airflow, The A/cleaner change has a far greater affect on changing the airflow, and you should add a fueling device, either a real "tune" or an add on device that can and does adjust for the extra airflow over ALL engine operation conditions!

Slipons and a STOCK K&N replacement air filter will work fine with the stock ecm. The xied's are a good choice if you simply want a cooler, smoother running motor.

FLHTK is an Electra Glide Ultra Limited. It's a better question for the touring section but I will quickly answer this. We recommend the 2.50" baffle for the 2012 with stock unmodified headpipes. No tuning is required. Please PM me with any questions.

I just got mine back yesterday. I made 100 hp at the wheel and 107 tqu. I installed a vance Nd Hines Power duel, rush slip on's no baffles and set of s&s cams. Oh, the bike is a 2012 st glide.
Just by adding a pipe and K&N air filter my Hammer was pushing 96 HP/110 TQ to the ground. That's spinning a big ol' 250 rear tire... just sayin'. I stomped HD's all day long on that bike.
My Crosscountry smoked a Road Glide Custom with a SE110 in it on the freeway. A pull from about 75 mph, not really much of a contest. Totally kicked his you know what in the dirt. Did I mention that my Crosscountry is bone stock?
Hey, I'm just sayin'

Does that mean. That a 103 will fit in the same frame that a 96
