Is there an easy way to remove the brake and turn signal light housings for powdercoat? The inside isnt wanting to come out and I dont want to damage them. No details other than a drawing in the service manual. Youtube video would be nice!
Not sure which bike your refering to but the bullet turn signals pop out using a flat head screw driver to pry around the edges of the internals. Then you just have to disconnect the wires from the connectors. Pretty simple.
I took apart the bullet signals on my Sportster for powder coat. The guts of the signal were just held inside by pressure with a rubber sleeve/gasket. I just carefully pried around the edges with a small flathead until it came loose. The parts were not nearly as fragile as I thought they were once I got them out and looked at them.
I'm sure the Dyna signals are pretty much the same, if not exactly the same.
I actually have a few pictures that I posted in a Sportster forum to help someone else out. I'll put them up here. Maybe they will help.

Did it the hard way! Use a binder clip on the inside where the bulb goes to pull the guts out. Much easer
