Default Help me diagnose problem...

So I just replaced my forcewinder intake with a screamin eagle chrome back plate and K and N filter.

Got on the road today and gunned it...about 3rd gear and I get sprayed with oil like it was shot out of a cannon?

Pulled over and saw that my oil plug had blown off. I walked back down the road and found the plug, set it back on the oil fill (not tight) and started the bike. The plug was jumping up and down like a kid on Christmas morning? Put it on the back of a buddy's truck and brought her home to clean off the oil and diagnose the problem.

Any ideas?

It is a 2000 fxd (carb). I took off the forcewinder with breather setup and out on the screamin eagle in the pic below. Would the breather plugs that comes with the new AC be causing the extra pressure? If so, how do I correct it?

Did you install the the head breather bolts that come with the K&N set up? The hollow bolts and hose to the backing plate are supposed to let the internal pressures and oil vapor go back into the carb. I've the K&N setup for ten years with no problems.

Check your oil level. If you have too much the engine will disperse it if you dont.

I have the head breather bolts but it came with rubber plugs that cover them. My pic only shows one of them.

The rubber hoses should be connected from the bolts(that have holes in the top of them) to the breather.

Just checking... there is a route for the gases from the heads through to the throttle body? Should be through the hollow breather bolts then through those hollow rubber caps to inside the air filter.

Fixed it and feel like a moron. Of course I was drinking while putting it on but attached pics of what I did.
