I concur with the above, but just to poke the bear in the eye with a stick.......

07s are the best year street bob for the following reasons-

hydraulic cam tensioners

96 inch motor, (easily upgraded to a 107 putting out 120 hp /tq and i cant imagine wanting much more then that on a harley type street bike)

Black engine

changeable risers

and the good rear fender (no matter how i look at them i just cant stomach factory bobbed rear fenders)

. . . to keep things moving -

What was the last year for chrome wheels?

Any differences between an '11 & a '12?

08 was the last year with the all chrome wheels.. The biggest difference between the '11 and the '12 is the can-bus wiring system. It is a pain in the *** if you want to add anything electrical to the bike. I wish I would have researched it a little more myself I would have prolly got the '11

2006 was the 1st and IMO the best year. It was the 1st with the 6speed and a strong 88

K. Not trying to be a smart *** here but do you say that because you have one or is there a reason. I know that's when the tensioners were changed to hydraulic but is there more.
Mines an 08.

Lol yes and no
06 has inner bearing problem, tc88 has tensioner and cam bearing problem, I used to own a tc88 fatboy so I know. I like 07-08 for 2 reasons, the rear fender and tail light, I can't stand for the limp dick tail light sorry. Other that than, any SB is cool.

I agree but the 08 had that goofy integrated riser so the 07 stands as the best year

Oh, here are other things about the 2010 that make it great. Michelin Scorcher tires come stock. The rims are powdered black too.

I agree with you all, the limp dick light is ugly (I removed mine) but at least it was LED from the factory.
