I have the Ness on my 04 FXDX, Had a friend at a body shop spray it for me after dry fitting it. I think the Ness looks better than the HD and it matches my bar height better as well though it was a bit difficult to tuck the double gauges under it. I don't like the look of the gauges mounted on top of the bars.
just bumping my question so people doesn't have to go back to page 6:
Still hesitating between the Ness and the HD wich one take off the most wind of your chest ? didn,t saw a ness on a 06+ yet too any pics someone ? Conely custom cycles seems to make replica of the ness and the HD (are they fiberglass) and does they fit on the 49mm forks or will I still need the Bungking bracket

hey guys i have a question i just got my arlen ness fairing for dyna and i don't know if i am going to run into a problem or not and since i finally found a thread on the fairing. ok so i have a 2011 fxdc and i have relocated the front directionals to the front forks which i have put them right under the top tree which i know that i have to moved them down so i can put the bracket on the fork for the fairing but here is where i think i might run into the problem with the relocation kit in general are they going to be in the way of the fairing sitting in the proper spot do i have move them down below the tree of make a little cut out on the fairing maybe some one can help me out
don't know about the relocation but you may need the BungKing 39mm to 49mm kit so that fairing doesn't look ackward( not sure about the ness just know that you need it for the HD 1/4 fairing) Don't forget to show us pic after your installation
Will do soon as it's done, ness said straight bolt on I got the one for dyna not the original which looks the same to me it's for the 49mm ... Bars go on in a week soon as it's done pic's will be up
hey guys i was wondering, the ness fairing with the stock windshield not like the other guy that has a 15" ..... how much wind does it block with the standard windshield?

im not sure about how much wind it will take off between the two but i do have to say that the ness is by far better looking then the one's from HD... i don't like the glass or plastic or whatever it is that sit's infront of the headlight, and for anyone that has that not saying your bikes dont look good im just not a fan of the HD fairing.. i'd have to say go with the one from ness but it is all up to what you like it will be sitting on your bike. As for the wind there is only one real way of finding out is buy it and install it and drive although i have asked the question my self the only way i'm going to know is drive and see so i'll let you know how it is and post the pic's when im done
