There is an odd problem with Advance's site. Sometimes it shows up as $109.99 (same price if bought in store according to my call to them) and sometimes it's $89.99. This battery is not the only item I've seen this happen to when shopping online with them. Sucks because you never know if you could get it cheaper by just logging in on another computer.

Lol, that's what keeps happening with me! You post your link saying $89 and when I click on it it's $109! Anyway I got it for $80 so it's still not a bad deal. I just stopped after work and wiped out their mobil 1 v-twin since it was on sale for $7.99qt. The gf just looked at me when I walked in the house and said "how much this time", I said $113 and she just gave me the "look" lol! At least I'm good for the next 5yrs for oil changes!
Usually a slow starter can be an indicator that your battery is low on charge or can't hold a charge. Have you charged it? Is it a liquid or AGM? It is really hard to tell if your battery is going without doing the proper diagnostics. The best way to test it is to make sure it is fully charged and then do a load test on it. Your dealer can do that for you. I've seen the negative lug so corroded that it didn't have a clean ground and the bike exhibited all the signs of a dead or dying battery. Cleaned it up and reattached the ground wire to the lug and it worked great.
My battery is about 5yrs old and is starting to show it's age. So with doing a complete tune up, plugs, wires, all fluids, bleeding brakes I figured it's about time to replace the battery. I know one thing it's not going to be the hd $130 battery, so I wanted to know what everyone is running? I'm leaning towards something with a bit more cca like 310. I see that interstate has one for around $100 that I might be able to get a little cheaper rom a local mom & pop shop. Let me know what you guys are running.
Is the 5yr old battery the oem part? if so, that's pretty darn good and for $130 I wouldn't complain, and I'm a broke ****. lol
My 4yr old oem battery just flew south. Had I listened to myself and put it on the tender back in Oct or so when I moreorless stopped riding for the season it would probably still be alive today. I had no problems going to the dealer for a battery. I mean $130 for another 4+ yrs equals $30+ a year. Doesn't seem out of line.
When you can get a battery for less than half of that though with a longer warranty and more CCA it seems way out of line.
By the way thanks for the heads up on the oil prices Red Evil. I had a few quarts of the Mobil One V-Twin in the garage but picked up 4 more quarts due to the sale price.
I think we need a thread stickied or something for good sale prices.
