Default PC III Throttle Setting

Can the 0 & 100% throttle positions be calibrated on a PCIII USB without starting the engine, and, if so, how?

I was told by FuelMoto "NO". That the engine had to be running but I also heard that you can use the battery for power.

when you purchased the pciii, you should have gotten a little 9 volt battery adapter thingy. Thats how you connect the pciii to a computer if you cant do it at the bike. If you don't have the thingy, you will need to contact powercommander and get one from them (unless someone here has a spare they will send you)

Power Commanders web site tutorial states that the engine should be running and warmed up to a normal idle speed when you set the throttle position. As far as setting the throttle position when the PCIII is not connected the bike, I do not see how that is possible.

I believe you can set it with the battery adapter if the motor isn't running. I did mine with the motor running. There's a rev limiterso you're not going to overrev the motor. Only takes a few seconds to do and you'll know it's right.
