the decel popping stopped after the remap and then started again? Have you checked your plugs?

did you check/retighten the exhaust nuts after awhile? your better off dynoing the bike, a map alone gets it close but not close enough.....

been researching since posting this thread, and found that it is common for chrome thunderheaders turn black at the collector "There are also a lot of people run TH's and love them. It seems that every TH I see suffers from the same problems after a while though. The start to look crappy around the collector and blue, or turn a bit black if they are chrome" I am gonna put new plugs in and reload the map and try again to stop the decel I will let yall know how it turns out

I had the same problem with mine it took a custom built on a Dyno map to get rid of it. The soot at the end of the pipe is normal for a Thunderheader.

I just checked all that, and you are right about dynoing the only problem is the dealer where I live is like way to expensive for me 325.00 hour, maybe one day

decel popping will not cause any damage to your pipeor bike, also when a good amount of soot builds up the popping will go away on it's own! i miss it now that it's gone!

Decel popping may indicate a leak where the pipe meets the cylinder head.

Good place to start. I suggest a dyno tune. Remote tuning is fine if every motor was the same and we all lived at the same elevation but we don't. A dyno tune is custom,so any little difference or variation can be tuned for on the spot.
Amd from what I have read the thunderheader costs a bit of torque on the bottom end. Perhaps a dyno tune can help you there.
