painting my saddle bags, looking for some good advice..
I have a set of fiberglass bags I have retro fitted to my Dyna. Overall condition is OK, but you can tell they have had a lot of road time if you look. I have sanded them down and am ready to paint, i was thinking of using a bedliner spray on, or some textured paint, my question is will it work long term or will I regret it?
I like the wrinkle look of the motor paint, wanting something similar to that.
well bedliner spray will hold up great as for protection. i will tell you this though. the bedliner paints dull over time. so it will go from that flat black to a lighter color over time. basically sun will fade it slightly.

I do not do much moto cross with my bike so protection is not a factor, but i am not interested in something fading and looking like crap over time. thanks for the heads up on that, i will have to think about that. maybe i will stick to just the plain textured paint.
i shot my snowmobile tunnel in bed liner, was super easy and came out awesome!
for yours i would say do a coat of etching primer, then a coat of buildable primer... block that out and they lay the bed liner... I used dupi color, it is so easy to shoot, really durable... i have actually shot alot in this. doing a whole golf cart when we finish tubing it out and putting swamp tires on it
here is how i did my tunnel on my sled
first i stripped the paint
If you want a bedliner product that isnt just some autozone crap and won't fade on you try Monstaliner. I have used on my Jeep and the company claims 100% UV protection and I believe them cause wheeling in the Reno area for the last few years mine didn't fade and the color stayed like new everywhere that didn't get rubbed against rocks. Also they are located in the USA, make their product in the USA, and from my personal experience and many others I have talked to they have great customer service. My Jeep is in their list of examples on their facebook page.
