More to it than just the oil, type of springs, amount of preload on the springs and fork oil, I had to make several small changes to get mine where it is now. I run a Bel-Ray 7 wt with Progressive springs
What I am trying to say is one size, or wt, does not fit all. Don't be afraid to try other adjustments.

I agree with the heavier weight oil in your forks. Improves the ride
in my opinion.

I prefer lighter weight oil with a better spring, preferably a straight rate spring. Putting heavy oil in slows the suspension action but it does not make up for weak springs. Using a lighter oil with the correct spring allows the wheel to travel over irregularities better maintaining contact with the road better.
