I made a change to my stock headlight. I replace it with a Heritage/fatboy 7 inch bucket and a 7 inch Kuryakyn LED bulb. When shopping online for a windshield, should I look for ones that fit heritage/fat boy or would the Dyna versions fit the bike?
I am leaning towards the QR Super Sport W/S from Harley.
I already had the QR Dyna shield when I changed out headlights. I just jigsawed a larger opening in the shield and all is good. Have to angle the shield on and off a bit but that's because I cut the new relief to be as tight to the light as possible.
My 07 SB is about 10.5" from outside of one upper fork to the other. The shield on my g/f's 07 Fatboy is nearly 14" from bracket to bracket. The Fatboy also mounts differently - fixed sideplates on the shield attach to mounting lugs very much like those used for detachable sissy bars. You'd have to mount the shield only to the QRs for the Dyna if you go that route.
