rode a victory judge today...compared to my Fat Bob
Dyna Glide ModelsSuper Glide, Super Glide Sport, Super Glide Custom, Dyna Glide Convertible, Super Glide T-Sport, Dyna Glide Police, Dyna Switchback, Low Rider, Street Bob, Fat Bob and Wide Glide.
The single disk front break is enough for me to call it a loser when compaired to a Fat Bob.
The other night me and a friend were at a local bike night walking up and down the rows checking out bikes....Harley after Harley. Then we came up to this one bike, and we both kinda looked at each other like WTF is that. The fender was way up off the back wheel and the jugs looked kinda funny. Then, right at the same time we both said "Oh it's a victory". You had to be there it was pretty funny.
The Victory is an American assembled bike with more hp and tq and cheaper than a Harley. I think its great that MoCo has some competition.
Not only cheaper and better power refering to the Vision, what a ride!Especially if you like to ride 800 to a 1000 miles a day.cost/ease of maint another +.Although my Limited was nice, the Visions tough to beat.
This almost duplicates my experiance and opinion a after my test ride. I do know from experience they are a reliable bike because both my brother and nephew own Victories. I also know they are fast. Having said that, there were many other short comings compared to both the Fat Bob, Road Glide, and Road King.
Bob
I rode one awhile ago with my wife at the Daytona track. It wasn't a vision but had bags, sirius, 100 inches, and a windshield. It was quick but felt like I was riding a knock off of a Harley. It had many cheap components found on a jap cruiser like the cheap switches, plastic turn signals and crappy headlight
Friend of mine has a Hammer, he did the exhaust & intake thing to it. Inverted forks, dual front disc upgrade to PM. I never wanted one or even tested a Victory. Last fall he begged me to take it for a spin...well, ok...Shifting was bad until I figured out not to pull the clutch in all the way, then it worked great. HP & TQ higher up. Handled good. Looked good in black as all bikes should be...Fast, for a heavy v twin. I liked the machine. It is good. Glad HD has to compete with them.
But there's nothing like a Harley!
