Believe or not, I plug in my battery tender whenever I am not riding, save my battery all year long. When I am riding, I hook up the battery tender to my car, vice versa.

Cause the weather here is so awesome most of the time we don't have to :-P

I use a tender as well whenever my junk is parked for a while...

When you ride in the rain in a city all the oils, transmission fluid, make it slipperier than a greased pig.OP I don't blame you for not riding. Out in the boonies traction is way better.

I have my bike on a tender in below freezing weather. I hook it up weekly. It usually charges to full after a minute, so I think you don't need it for a week.

have the jr, keep it plugged in the bike as soon as I park it and the pipes have time to cool down. forgot once and melted the plug a little against the O2 sensor but caught it before it messed it up much. still works fine. I plug my cigarette lighter plug into the pigtail when riding so I can plug up my gps or cell charger.

Over 100 bucks to replace my battery last week. Had it hooked up to the tender but the tender wasn't plugged into the wall ;.]
