I just put the bike in service after a short winter in the garage. Riding a 2010 FXDC. Late in the fall, I moved the license plate to the left side with the HD relocation kit. The dealer included a Kuryakin LED tail light to replace the original one with the white lens that used to light up the plate when it was on the fender.
I just noticed today that the rear running lights are out. Signals work fine. All other lights - front running, headlight, front and rear signals, tail light, and brake light work fine. Just no rear running lights. These are the single filament ones - not the dual filament like up front.
Only one fuse - it was fine - I pulled it and the other lights stopped working, and went back on when I replaced it. I checked all of the connections - in the tail light assembly and under the seat. Everything seems secure.
Well since the last changes in the area were the move of the plate, I would go back in that area and take a look at the wires for the first elimination process. Do some continuity tests on each.
Might help to pull some codes but it's probably just gonna point you in the same area.
The rear are signals only, no running lights - that is why there is a single filament bulb in there, to get those to act as running lights you need the run/turn/brake module.
