Looking at getting some new grips and pegs for my '12 Fat Bob. Im leaning towards the Avon spiked tribal ones but I have a couple questions. The Avon site doesnt list them by model so are all HD grips and pegs the same? It also list an option for push pull type or fly by wire. Im guessing being that my bike is new I probably have the fly by wire style but Im not sure. Any Fat Bob guys out there that can help me out? How about pics of what you guys are running? I searched the Fat Bob thread but that sucker is LOOOOOOOONG. Lol
I didn't switch grips yet but I did put new bars on my 2011 and the throttle grip was definitely push pull with two throttle cables. Far as I've read most grips are the same as they all fit 1" taper on the end of the bars and most Harley's use that size. I say most because no doubt there is one out there somewhere with a different size lol.
I just replaced my stock grips with the diamond black ones from HD. It was very simple. only need a few star allen bits and a razor blade to cut off the left grip which was glued on for me. The instructions do say to cut it off.
Took maybe 15 minutes just taking my time and making sure i don't screw it up.

I didn't have any instructions when I switched bars and needed to reuse the grip so I just twisted the left grip off which took some effort but it came off.

mine was pretty glued on. Even after I cut it it was still pretty stuck.
