Ok I have brand new windshield. Never run. Is there any product that is being used to protect them? Like something you said "Man. I wish I had put that on when it was brand new."
Ive been using this for ages. I mist the ws, spraying heavier on the big spots then let it sit for 5 min. or so to soften things up. I then wipe with micro fiber, using clean section at each of the tough spots. Inexpensive and works great
Thanks guys. I have used the Novus on My 69 Chevelle tail lights. They came out like brand new. I'll see if they make just a protectant. I have not seen the other brand around. I was thinking like Rain X. ??? On plastic.
I have used RainX on face shield with no ill effects but have never tried it on my windshield. Use caution because some products can cause a rainbow effect, not harmful but can prove to be annoying when the sun hits it just right. Plexus Plastic Cleaner & Polish is suppose to work really well and you can find in just about every cycle shop you visit. I never used it because its some expensive **** Lol
Whichever product you choose to use just be sure and use it with a clean, really clean, soft cloth, preferably microfiber) Never, ever use paper towels.
The cleaning instructions that came with my ws suggested dampening a towel and placing it over your shield to aid removing the tough spots. I just use the method I mentioned above in last post.

Use a good wax / polish to protect it: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/showt...eferrerid=9012. I've been using Zaino products on paint and plastic for the past twelve years with excellent results. Take a close look at the tail lights in the video below from a Zaino customer.
