I found a Street Bob for sale. its a 2011, denim black, V&H ground pounder pipes. 96ci engine. 22,326 miles on it. Asking price is $10,500. I'm tempted. Is it a good price or should i haggle a little?
On this coast the market for used bikes is very soft (can I interest you in a great deal on an 09 Electra Glide? ). I've no doubt that a bit of patience will net you a lower mileage bike at a better price.
22,000 miles for 10,500? seems high to me. i was in the same boat. found a nice street bob for 12,500 and it had about 13,000 miles. i skipped the used bike and bought a new one because i dont know the past of the bike. owner could have rode the **** out of it and skipped services, or he could have taken immaculate care of it. its easy to say youve taken great care of a bike. but buyer always beware. not to mention for a few thousand dollars more i got a brand new bike with only 2 miles on it with a warranty. worth it in my book.

The seller is not an individual, its a HD dealership. I assume they've serviced it and all that. And maybe i can talk them down a bit.
To the best of my knowledge Ground Pounders are from Samson, not V&H. Is it a full stage one (high flow air intake and fuel management system) or just slip on exhaust? If it has stage 1 I'd say it's a great price. If its just a slip on exhaust...I'd try to talk them down a bit. 22,000 miles for a 2011 is a bike that saw some serious daily driving. In my opinion that says good things about the codition and reliability of the bike, especially if they have any service records to back it up. Is it going to need brakes or tires soon? Added costs if it that is the case.
Regular riding is the best maintenance you can do for these bikes as long as you change the oil as needed. Take it for a test drive. See if it feels good or rattles like a bucket of bolts. If it feels healthy and if you trust the dealer I'd say make an offer.
