Got an odd situation here was out riding today with my family and my Dad happened to notice my left side passenger peg mount having excessive vibration. So on our first stop parked it and grabbed ahold of the peg and its really loose but I tried looking/feeling underneath for a bolt but couldnt find one so my question is how is it held in place and how can I tighten it back up. Pics would be greatly appreciated. Also this is on my 04 Lowrider.
Not sure if it's same as a 06 street bob, there's star bolts under the belt gaurd. I removed the bolt in the gaurd attached to the peg mount and used a star bit (40 or 45) and a ratchet wrench to tighten mine.
Redneck, If I understand you correctly, you have to remove the "male" section of foot peg.
There is a socket head cap screw that goes into the mount through the middle of the "female" part of the foot peg mount that is hidden when the foot peg is totally assembled.
Just be aware of the position (top or bottom of the tounge) and orientation of the flat part of the "D" shaped flat spring that takes up the slop where the foot peg assembles and stops the foot peg from vibrating.
Just looked at my 02 superglide and 05 L/R. There is a 5/16th allen head bolt that fastens the footpeg into the square recess. The easiest way would be to remove the belt guard to can access to the bolt head. Don't forget the blue loctite.
