Forward control peg mount
my right side foot peg mount (forward mounts) is slightly loose in that if I put pressure on the heel stirrup of the Kuyakyn Switchblade pegs, the mount will rotate counter clockwise in the bracket. It appears to be threaded, but Even if I tighten it all the way clockwise, it will still move. It actually seems more solid if I turn the mount counterclockwise till it stops then re-adjust the peg at that point. I don't seem to be able to turn it beyond a certain point either clockwise or counterclockwise.
Anybody know how I get this damn thing off so I can put some lok-tite on the threads?
What am I missing? I can't find any info in the manual.
Thanks.

I have these pegs on my 06 WG and I know what you mean about getting them tight. If you pull the rubber up at the end of the peg there is a hex head bolt down inside the peg. I used the blue lok-tite first and it still moved, I ended up putting lok-tite gel on the bolt and it has held. The pegs work well, I also have 3" extensions so there is even more leverage on the heel rests.
I'm not sure how yours are setup but on mine there's a bolt on the flat plate that connects the footpeg to the frame. The piece that the foot peg attaches to has flats on it so I just put a cresent wrench on it to tighten it up.
If you're talking about the bolts that hold the flat plate to the frame they're just allen head screws but they've got fancy chrome snap in covers that you have to pop out before you can get the allen wrench on it.
Good Luck!

Just re-read your post and now it makes more sense to me. You're not complaining about the peg mount rotating in the plate but the Kuryakn switch blade peg rotating. If you take out the allen bolt that runs through the pads on the "thin" side, and loose the one that runs through the "thick" side. (One is on the outside, and one is on the inside)
You can then flip up the big outside rubber pad and get an allen wrench inside to tighten up the larger allen head bolt that holds the switchblade peg to the peg mount.
Hopefully this makes sense.
I'm going to fabricate new mounting plates for mine to move them a little farther forward of the brake and shifter levels as my big feet just barel fit.

Actually I'm able to get to the large mounting hex head bolt thru the hole in the end of the peg without any trouble. The peg was slipping so much I drilled and tapped in set screws to hold the peg to the conical mount. The notches in the peg had worn down so it wouldn't hold.
BUT, my problem IS the factory peg mount that "screws" into the bracket bolted to the frame is turning. I put a large crescent wrench on the flats, but it will only turn about 1/8 turn in either direction. It seem tighter if I "tighten" it counter clockwise?????
