Question driver and passenger peg mounts?

hey guys...i am looking for a short stlye passenger peg mount for the train...

the stock pass. peg mounts bolted into to swing arm through the female mount area with a 3/8th cap bolt..(pretty standard?) they are around 3" long total.

They are chrome, YUCK!...and also stick out more than i like..i'd like to replace them with a similar female mount in black and more around 1-1.5" long..that you insert a cap bolt through the mount from the peg side and it bolts them to the swing arm...or any other 3/8 hole for that matter.

any help is appreciated.

Driver pegs are also kind short in length...was wondering if you guys extended the stock pegs somehow or bought longer ones...JP only had some ugly ones...i have black diamond collection and if possible a black extender for stock pegs would be great. I find that as i ride the button cap on the end of the pegs finds its way to around the center of my foot often and its comfortable..

Thanks guys

On my FXSTC, I have bitch pegs mounted with headbolts for a 350 Chevy.
A buddy at work machined them shorter so they would bolt right up without needing washers as spacers. (threaded different on both ends and too long)
I used red loctite on the threads in the pegs and blue where they bolted to the frame.
The frame was already drilled and tapped for a different seat mounting position from the factory.

Oh and they're Chrome, YES!

As long as you install a nut on to "re-thread the threads" you should be able to cut them to length. You could use the stock bolts for the frame and cut the head off so the peg mount screws on to them.
You can cut the peg mount to your preferred length. Don't go too short or you won't have much bolt to handle momma getting off and on.

Then either have the mounts PC'd or just rattle can them black.

If you're talking about the stock location, you only need to cut the bolt to length of the shortened peg mounts and then bolt it through the frame. You'll have a stronger mount that way.

thought of that....all i gots is a sawzall and it will leave a ragged azz out of square cut on the mounts....

i was really hoping to find some knowledge on perhaps the peg mounts for the sporty as i think they are very similar 3/8th bolt through design.

i want them short so they tuck away nicely....mama rides only 1-2 times a year.

i see the short version all over in the 1/2" fine thread to bolt into the seat holes....but then they are too high and my seat already bolts there which means i would have to remove pegs to swap to a 2UP seat....not bad but they are too high there for her.

my stock RH peg was spaced out more than LH i guess for pipes?...but if both pegs folded nicely against the frame thats ideal...

thinking of trying these...butt they are even a bit long for my liking but at least they are black.

You could cut them with a hack saw and dress them up with a file.
Check ebay for some highway bar mount female peg mounts.
The Kuryakyn peg mount looks like it would work.
Just unbolt the bar mount from the peg mount.

Those are short and I bet someone is selling a copy or used set on ebay.

Here's some short ones.

nada, all those run the typical 1/2" female stud mounted in them or take a 1/2" bolt..

it's gonna have to be a sporty part i bet.

how about longer fronts, or a extension for the stock's?..anybody running those?
