Beautiful!!! Looking at all the dynas with the trunk kit on here makes me think I might want to do that in the future. It's nice to have everything on the detach system so you can strip it down for the short runs on a hot summer night to the local watering holes.
Can someone give me a few details on the mounting, maybe a close up pic. I was fixing to buy a soft tail pack for my Fatbob for my west coast military retirement ride in April but this looks like a much better idea. I have a stock HD back rest with luggage rack. Can anyone tell me if the rack included will mount to my stock quick release back rest mounts (with the pad removed I assume)? Thanks.
The tour pak mounting bracket that Jackyl sells will go on where you bolt your sissy bar onto your side plates. You then bolt the tour pak to the mounting bracket. Jackyl even supplies a template for drilling the holes into tour pak to match his mounting bracket. Its a first rate setup IMO.
Here is a pic of the great rack with the quick release Switchback side plates.
Worth every penny.
Installs in about 20 minutes. I used zipties to hold the nut plates that come with the kit
