You really wont get loud slipons unless you get rid of the cat in your headpipe. Then slipons will allow the exhaust to be as loud as you want.
I'll second that as I just put a catless headpipe on my Fat Bob and the before and after is very noticeable. Mine is really loud now, whereas before with cycle shack baffles and the stock head pipe it was not quiet but not really loud either and sounded really tame. As far as slip ons, don't waste your money, buy some baffles and just swap out your stock ones. I went with cycle shack baffles on mine. No sense in paying more than $40 for new mufflers when yours will work just fine with different baffles and there are several out there to choose from. I can appreciate paying a few hundred for full exhaust but slip ons are a waste of money IMO because you can get baffles for under $40 and do the same thing yourself and still keep the stock mufflers.
Oh yeah, and if you just want loud sounding exhaust until you decide on custom exhaust or not for the cost of shipping you can have my stock baffles I modified to sound similar to aftermarket ones (I'm assuming the 2012 is using the same mufflers as the 2011) https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...b-baffles.html
love my LA choppers slip ons on my 12 wide glide. Very throaty for just a slip on, but mellow while cruising. The way I understand it they bought the tooling from Rinehart, and it looks identical to a Rinehart slip on, with a different end cap.
If you're considering Rush the 2.25" baffle is recommended with our slipons for the 2012 Fatbob. This is the largest baffle size offered. Dut to the cat, this will produce a similar volume to our 1.75" baffles on a Fatbob with open headpipes that the earlier models had.
I would not classify this as loud.
Most aftermarket slip-ons are similar or have less volume to our 2.25" baffle. If you really want some volume, a full system will be your best option.
