The accessoried catalog should be free.. thats where you will find all the doodads we like to buy. The parts catalog they have behind the counter, I don't know what it is called, and i don't know that you can buy one ... anyone????? I would love to have one of those for my bike

Well,... I have one of the big Harley wish books, but I asked my local dealer if I could order one of the dealer parts manuels that they keep behind the counter and they said they are only for dealers.

thrillseeker,
I think I just found it on E-bay for about 39.00, it is part number 99439-06A.
Same part # as mine. Picked it up at the dealer. 38 bux.
Add 5 at kinkos and have it spiral bound. The pages fall out otherwise,
unless you never open it. A great tool to have on hand.

When I bought my passenger pegs my parts guy looked in the book and ordered every piece needed.
I believe there are a total of 14 individual pieces required (clearly illustrated in the parts catalog).

I love Harley and I know why. No experience with honda, I'm sure it's pleasant though.
Because I remember the commercials back in the mid 1960s.
Something like "you meet the nicest people".

Please learn this right away - there will be some assholyness going on behind the parts counter,
in the service dept, and other areas at the HD dealer. As well, you will find this same stigma
in many places, that is life. It may even lurk on the front side of the counter.

I know who is full of it and/or themselves at the two dealerships I frequent.
Gotta learn to work people, and make em work"with" you.

My dealer cuts me a price that is always equal to or just a few dollars more
than the popular online dealers. I always support the locals, rather that going offshore.
I don't spend1000s at a time, only hundreds.I think they like me cause I'm so ugly,
and when I walk in the new machines look so much better, and sales are accelerated.

Hard to believe you "did a search on turn signal relocation but did not find out a lot of info".
Seems like that subject comes up once or twice a week here, in every way shape and form.

Might wanna get the service manual as well. Part # is 99481-06.
46 bux at my dealer, again, straight to the spiral binder.
If my dealer was as bad as your initial evaluation at the dealer in your neck of the woods,
There is no way they would do 1000 mile, or anything else.
I don't let anyone touch my machine anyway.
In the future, ask around in here first.
Thereis a whole bunch of info and help here at HDForums

Lose the negative attitude, or your "stealer" will see you coming every time.

Mud,

Thanks for the great advice, I bought the service manual today at my local stealer for the book price of $58.00 plus tax. I will order the parts manual from an out of state dealer at a discount as I am not in a big hurry for it. Think I have been nice to local dealer and they seem very friendly, they have just opened a new dealership near me and have some of the same workers that I have dealt with in the past. They however are set on the Harley Book prices, I probably will just use them for small items and will use the forum sponsors for big purchases at a discount. My wishlist is pretty large, that happens when you try to save money and buy a basic bike.

Thanks again,

John
