Every Kit I ever ordered from Harley had everything I needed. Sometimes extra parts to accomindate any difference between a model year. I have had Harleys for many years and have never had any missing parts.

thrillseeker,
I think I just found it on E-bay for about 39.00, it is part number 99439-06A.
Same part # as mine. Picked it up at the dealer. 38 bux.
Add 5 at kinkos and have it spiral bound. The pages fall out otherwise,
unless you never open it. A great tool to have on hand.

When I bought my passenger pegs my parts guy looked in the book and ordered every piece needed.
I believe there are a total of 14 individual pieces required (clearly illustrated in the parts catalog).

I love Harley and I know why. No experience with honda, I'm sure it's pleasant though.
Because I remember the commercials back in the mid 1960s.
Something like "you meet the nicest people".

Please learn this right away - there will be some assholyness going on behind the parts counter,
in the service dept, and other areas at the HD dealer. As well, you will find this same stigma
in many places, that is life. It may even lurk on the front side of the counter.

I know who is full of it and/or themselves at the two dealerships I frequent.
Gotta learn to work people, and make em work"with" you.

My dealer cuts me a price that is always equal to or just a few dollars more
than the popular online dealers. I always support the locals, rather that going offshore.
I don't spend1000s at a time, only hundreds.I think they like me cause I'm so ugly,
and when I walk in the new machines look so much better, and sales are accelerated.

Hard to believe you "did a search on turn signal relocation but did not find out a lot of info".
Seems like that subject comes up once or twice a week here, in every way shape and form.

Might wanna get the service manual as well. Part # is 99481-06.
46 bux at my dealer, again, straight to the spiral binder.
If my dealer was as bad as your initial evaluation at the dealer in your neck of the woods,
There is no way they would do 1000 mile, or anything else.
I don't let anyone touch my machine anyway.
In the future, ask around in here first.
Thereis a whole bunch of info and help here at HDForums

Lose the negative attitude, or your "stealer" will see you coming every time.

That is a great tip, I always used a 1" box wrench spread over the pages : - )

I'm one of the fortunate ones also,I have never had a problem with any parts not having the right amount of parts with it. Our dealer's parts and service depts. have pretty good folks running them and are pretty knowledgable.

If you need info about any part for your Harley..I recommend JP Cycles.com.................If they don't have the answer someone on their forum should help you out! If you buy the parts and some are missing, call them and they will make it right. 100% customer satisfaction everytime I purchased from them....

+1

Will not go to the dealer for anything unless I absolutely have to. I do my research and buy most of my parts on ebay. This is my first harley and it won't be the last. Love HD motorcycles. Hate HD company model.

I did go to the dealer and they told me everything I needed was in the kit for the relocation, after I told them I needed a shorter bolt for the fender and a cover they suggested I use several washers on the bolt.(three inches long) which should only be one inch. I have researched now and found out there is a special part to cover the hole and a shorter bolt. Just frustrated, forgive me, I will adapt.

John

I guess things like this don't get my dander up to much. I'm old school and will take something for another model and make it work on my Dyna.

My reloaction kit had too much hardware. They figure if you are relocating the turns you must be putting on saddle bags. My turn signal kit came with fender support bars and the saddle bag kit did to. The thing is my support bars already on the fender were the same as the other two.

In their defense it is kind of hard to figure all of the combinations that you might be doing and include the hardware for all of them. That's probably why they have model specific kits to go with the others. Imagine what the kits would cost if they included everything for any combination.

I still have a set of support bars for a Dyna I will give someone for the shipping.

Hope you work things out.

Come back more often Babs, we appreciate your comments and observations. Besides, you do ride a Harley.

Thanks.. Though I know I expoundeth to excess at times.
I'm always around though I tend to surf around the softail area.
Yeah I ride, when I can.. which ain't enough!

By the way.. just a tip for you dyna guys.. check out my ironbags install thread toward the end showing the bubbasbrake license plate/signal mount mod.. Turned out great.. If you want to get large bags but the signals are in the way, that part will fix it. I think it will work on most non-bobtails.. dyna's as well as fat fender softails.
