New tank
I just won a Gas tank on ebay to replace the dented one on my 04 superglide fxdxi 
. The best part is it's the same color as the bike. now the only part that has scratch's on it from previous owner is the rear turn signal. Guess its time to change rocker box's that i got off ebay when i have the tank off. The first picture is when i got the bike. second is the how it sets now. The third is the dent.

As far as I can tell. I'll transfer the one on the bike into it.just because its running and I trust it.

I swapped out my original '05 FXDI (Super Glide) tank for one from an '04 FXDL (Low Rider) and moved the speedometer to the tank from the handlebar risers ... used an '06 FXDB (Street Bob) dash and lights ... had to splice the wiring to do the dash indicator lights ...
By the by ... it does not appear that your bike is an FXDXI ... the FXDX had dual front brakes and blacked out motors ... yours looks like a straight Super Glide or maybe Super Glide Custom (mine didn't have any chrome covers) ... yours could have had a chrome engine cover kit installed ...?
Bet you're psyched to get the replacement tank ... how many miles does your bike have ...? You might consider replacing the fuel filter in the EFI system since you have the tank and fuel pump (etc.) taken apart ....

huh, they look good. I gotta pull my wifes tank soon when I wire in the new bars, which seller did you get them from? I'm gonna be replacing her aluminum pieces a few at a time until they're either chrome or black...
