hard starting
09 fxdc does not want to start on first try, only after its warmed up,turns over fine just does not want to fire almost like it backfires if i hold the starter button in for a few seconds or stop and retry then it goes anyone else have this problem

fairly normal... are you running a tuner like a power commander? if so, try hitting the start button as soon as you hit the run button ,rather than letting the fuel pump fully prime... works for me...

also my fuel pump is making a weird noise when ignition is turned off not sure if i ever remember hearing it before or at least thats where the noise sounds like its coming from

Mine makes a weird noise sometimes, it's not a perect science but it works. Try what superfastglide suggested first, it works for alot of guys.

Also may sure ur battery is holding a solid charge, if its weak it will start the bike but cause a hard start...

When you hit the run switch you can hear what sounds like something pissing against the inside of the tank. The less gas in the tank, the easier it is to hear it.

less than a quarter of a tank of gas in it and cant hear none of that also when i pull the fuel pump fuse the pump obviously does not work but i still hear the noise maybe its always been there but im pretty sure it has not gotta good freind of mine who is the shop mgr at my local dealer gonna take it there today and hes gonna listen
