2011 WG apes
Hey all! Just sent my trees and lower fork legs out to powdercoat yesterday morning, she says I'll have them back by Friday next week. So in the mean time i purchased 14" Wild1 Chubby Outlaw'z' 1.5" risers and new grips everything will be here by Wed. Was wondering if anyone has put a similar set-up on their newer WG and could give me a rough estimate as to how long of cables and wiring extensions I'll need. Already have all the cables unhooked and off the bike completely as well as the wiring pulled through the stock bars, just would like to be able to slap everything together Friday night and be riding by Saturday since this good old Michigan weather seems to be turning around again. Thanks!

Thanks for the info man! How long did you have to extend your wires (if any). I looked and tugged a little at the harnesses under the back bone and i dont seem to have but a couple of extra inches of wire.
no extending the wires. they are long enough for your 14" bars. just remove the plastic cover under the tank and backbone. then pull the plugs on each side of the neck. then you should be able to pull out the wires and clips.
Thanks Pontiac, I have all the wire out of the stock bars layed out on the bench just kinda seems like it will be short as i have no extra wire left in the back bone when i tug on the connectors left inside the bike they dont budge. Hopefully the wires are long enough like you say, would love to enjoy this weather coming up!

Alright, finally got the trees back from powder coat on friday evening, went ahead and epoxy painted the lowers on the forks instead of powder coat because I will be changing the front end eventually. Just waiting on cables which should be here Wed., need to finish wiring the turn signals, re-attach my fork bag, and perform my 10k service and she'll be ready to roll! Will post a final picture as soon as shes all prettied up after my test ride lol.

I know! Been busy as hell its still dirty but if the rain gere holds off today i will be doing a quick clean and photo shoot to let you see the finished product, had an issue with the brake line ive since resolved and have put about 400 miles on her with the new bars... gotta say very comfortable! Pics to come this afternoon if the rain holds!
Ok, here it is finally, got her all cleaned up on Friday took some pictures and then they wouldn't upload so I'm trying something new, have put about 1600 miles on her since everything and I am enjoying the hell out of her!
The bike fully cleaned! (As clean as it was going to get anyway it was beautiful here in Michigan Friday.)

Another shot:

And yet another:

The new grips...

And one more with my buddies FLSTS.

There she is... I went +6 on All cables, with a 50" Brake Line to have a cross in front of the bars of the brake and clutch.
Would of gotten these sooner but was a lot more fun riding her than washing and taking pictures lol.
