Needs the "chopped" fender on the rear to give it more a sporty (no sportster pun intended) feel, there is just way to much fender and tail light out back. Other than that the bike is bad ***, if those are 49mm inverted for legs, I just might have to pick a set up for my Bob and go fenderless up front. This could make me re think the look I might go after.......freaking figures!
there's not much they could do about that rear fender setup without either doing a cafe style tailsection. Then they'd have to reengineer the fender strut area completely..and we all know H-D ain't going through that much effort on the lowly dyna chassis. you don't like the gap, put burly slammers on in like all the rest of the "ruin a perfectly good suspension" crowd and close it up. If you appreciate the working height of a properly set up suspension then you'll remember that when you are blasting around on it, you can't even see the fender anyways. I'm even digging the exhaust. high, tight 2-1 that won't scrape. keep the t-header, I'd run this no doubt. it's also a euro model in these pics, so they have much different noise and emission regs than us..our version could be much different.
dang no tach , harley is going to price this out of there buyers markets price range and then not put the much needed tach on it , notice it has stock rear brakes . come on its a superglide with a cast aluminum swing arm , better rear shocks and a usd front end with dual brakes , i do like the 2 into 1 pipe . if they sold it for 13999.00 it would sell great , 14999.00 it would sell ok above that and the missed there target

No tach? The pics i saw did not show the intruments clearly. It may have what's on my XR1200, the big instrument is the tach and the speedo is a small digital readout to the side. That would make sense since they already have the parts designed and in production for the XR. I noticed a lot of XR12000 parts. The reason there is such a gap on the rear fender is it has an XR1200 rear wheel which is a low profile sportbike tire and rim.
Definitely like the bike!! Definitely needs the XR rear tail section.
I agree with Sonny, that bike should sell in the U.S. (if it comes here) for about 13,999 or 14,500 tops. Otherwise, they would never sell at 17,000. But that is all premature and speculation at this point. lol
Even at 17k I don't think they missed the target at all. Every bike that is a "performance special" carries a premium. I'm sure they don't expect to sell as many of these as street bobs. The it's a dyna with upgraded suspension crowd should check eBay an see what the older FXDXs are going for. They're getting more for them than our street bobs and 6 speeds. This bike rocks. If you don't like it don't buy one. That'll help me out having fewer buys to elbow out the way when it hits dealers here.
