Default Turn signal relocate and easy brackets.

Ok guys, Im kinda new here, but after searching the threads I have found alot of good info and im ready to put it to use. I have a 2009 FXDC.
Went to greatbikegear.com. the turn signal relocate kit looks nice as do the easy brackets. Looking at the saddlebag options without moving the signals leaves very few choices, all of which are small to say the least.
It would seem that I can do the relocate without a jack. can reach pretty far behind the fender. Im looking for any feedback to this procedure before i dive in and get stuck with half the **** hanging there.
Ive watched the video on how to remove the wires from the harness, he makes it look easy.
Was planning on signal relocate, detach sissy and easy brackets all at the same time. Last step is saddlebags.
Just looking for a heads up and what i can expect in tackling this .
Thanks in advance

I tried cheaper relocation kits from aftermarket companies. they look like what they are...... cheap. Ended up spending a little more and getting one from Harley. I like it , comes with complete instructions(easy), and looks great. Was able to fit very large bags on my Superglide. Good luck.

Are you looking at the turn signal relocation kit that uses the stock turn signal nacelles? If so, that's the one I have. I actually bought the H-D kit first, but didn't like the look of the lamps hanging from the thin little tubes they supply. Re-use of the stock nacelles looks much better IMO.

BTW, I didn't have a jack when I installed mine, so I must not have needed it.

I just got one of these. Don't know if the pic will enlarge when you click on it.

Here's the link from ebay (expired listing but you can still see it at the bottom):

This one uses the stock nacelles/posts that Romeo mentions. I'm having it installed with some other mods so I don't have a pic with it on the bike. The only trouble is trying finding the frame that fits flush as it doesn't come with the frame.

That's the GBG kit and no, you don't need a jack unless you have really big mitts. Easy to install, I had mine PC'd black to match the fender but kept the standoffs chrome.

+1 on the turn signal relocators that reuse the stock housing. I had the HD tube, its very easy to snap off or over torque. The ones that use the stock parts bring it in closer together and gives a cleaner look. I eventually took em completely off as have the integrated brake and turn signal led light.

Unless you have small hands, you will need to raise the rear a bit to get under the fender. You may want to support the rear, remove the shock and that will give you the clearance. If I remember correctly, I used a car jack under the frame to just lift it but not completely off the ground.

That is the one I am looking at (gbg kit). Have not seen it in person but have seen the HD ones. the HD ones didnt seem like nothing special. And yes, others on forum have stated that the HD one seems kinda cheaply made. I guess it's up to personal taste when it comes to looks.
Anybody with the easy bracket saddlebag system?
