I put mine against the back fender between the fuse box & battery & left the usb cable hooked up & routed into the fuse box. For the connector, it is between the fuse box & battery up against the frame on the motor side. I un hooked the positive battery cable put the connector behind it and the cable is holding it tight to the frame.
May not be per the book but it works.
I really wish my dyna was carb'ed instead of EFI it would have been easier , well at least cheaper
My PC was on in less that 30 minutes , I had removed the O2's when I put the pipes on a day or two before ... Jamie at FuelMoto was dead on IMHO on the tune so for now Im a happy camper
I have the main control unit mounted on the rear side of the electrical box.. on the outside. Yes, if y ou look it can be seen when looking at the left side of the bike... but for the most part it is black and it isn't noticable.
I did have it under the seat at first, but I wanted to be able to get to it easily. I found that clipping the zip ties that hold the main harness helped... that allows you to move the harness coil around under the seat a little better.
thanks for all the replies. After getting some sleep, i see my error is obviously in trying to follow the instructions...I'll just mount it anyway I can see that it will fit and be secure.
thanks
I also put mine under the seat. It actually tucks very nice..............all of the wire is under there too.......... I have it coiled up looks good plenty of room, and you can uncoil, and tune with seat on.......................................LO....... ..
yeah, i've had no problem finding room for the pciii, it's just those damn huge connectors that i can't find room for.
Someone said they zip tied them behind the rear cyclinder, my wires aren't long enough for that...i really don't see where I can put that thing and still be able to get the electrical cover back on.
thanks...i'm obviously not drinking nearly enough and getting to uptight....maybe i'll have a few drinks and go cram the damn thing in there...again thanks for the replies
