Default Dyno tune if just changing pipes?

I just got my 2012 Wide Glide home and I can't stand the stock exhaust. Can I install the new exhaust without getting the EFI remapped? I know its not ideal for performance, but will this hurt the engine? I will eventually be getting the SE Heavy Breather and the PCV, but I have to save up first. Thanks!

sure you can with no damage, the EFI will adjust to new pipes. I would suggest getting a full exhaust as it is only like 100-150 more. If you want performance go with a 2-1. I have the vance and hines pro pipe and love the sound and performance. I got it at directharleyparts.com for 474 delivered.

Plan on doing the same thing with mine, ordered some V&H short shots today. Plan on running them for a little while until I can save up for the a/c and tune! Can't handle the quiet exhaust any more!

having a '12, you'll be hard-pressed to find pipes that fit. The Moco changed the size of the O2 sensors and from what I understand the aftermarket hasn't caught up yet.

Yeah I noticed that while I was searching. I landed on the v&h big radius 2-2 and I actually had to call v&h to make sure they fit the 12mm o2 sensors. They confirmed they were an exact fit for everything so I hope that is the case when I go to install them.
